Privacy Policy
Floating App Note ("the app", "we", "us") lets you pin short notes that float over specific apps you choose, and set time-based reminders (interval, fixed-times, or one-off alerts) that fire as a notification, floating banner, or full-screen alarm. This policy explains what the app accesses, why, and what leaves your device. We do not sell your personal data.
1. Summary
- Your notes, reminders, and settings stay on your device. We do not upload or read them.
- The app detects which app is in the foreground locally, to decide when to show a note. This detection never leaves your device.
- Data leaves your device when you (a) submit feedback, (b) are shown ads (non-premium), or (c) as anonymous usage analytics.
- No account and no sign-in. We use analytics to understand feature usage, but do not identify you personally.

This data is held in the app's private local storage and is removed when you uninstall the app.
3. Data sent off the device

If you use the in-app feedback form, we send only what is needed to read and reply:

Feedback is sent only when you tap submit. Skip the form and nothing is sent.
Advertising (non-premium users)
The free version shows ads via Google AdMob. Google may collect device identifiers and ad-interaction data to serve and measure ads, per Google's policies. See Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses data. Premium users see no ads, and ad SDKs are not initialized.
Analytics (all users)
We use Firebase Analytics (Google) to understand how the app is used — which features are opened, notes and reminders created, and settings changed — so we can improve it. Firebase collects app-usage events, a randomly generated app-instance identifier, and general device / diagnostic information (device model, OS version, app version, and a coarse region inferred from your IP address). We do not use this to identify you personally, and note content is never included in analytics. Analytics runs for both free and premium users. See Google Privacy Policy and Firebase & Privacy.
4. Permissions and why we use them

Full-screen intent (USE_FULL_SCREEN_INTENT) | Let a reminder set to the "Full screen" style take over a locked or dark screen, like an alarm clock. Without it, the reminder still posts as a normal notification. |
Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS) | Deliver a note or reminder as a notification when an overlay is not suitable, and show the service status. |

Ignore battery optimizations (REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS) | Optional prompt so aggressive device power managers don't kill the detection loop or delay reminder alarms in the background. You grant or decline it yourself. |

5. Children
The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
6. Data retention & deletion
On-device data is deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its storage. To delete feedback you submitted, contact us at the email below and we will remove it.
7. Security
Network traffic uses HTTPS (cleartext is disabled). On-device data lives in the app's private storage sandbox.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
